Technology workshops that make people feel capable.

Hands-on classes for seniors, families, and anyone who has ever felt left behind by their phone. No jargon, no rushing, no question too basic.

Three workshops. One goal: confidence.

Three older adults laughing together while taking a selfie on a phone.

Tech for Seniors

Stay connected, stay safe, and make your phone easier to see, hear, and use. Video calls, photos, scam spotting, telehealth, and the settings nobody showed you.

For senior centers, libraries, churches, and retirement communities.

60 to 90 minutes, or a weekly series

Parents and young children drawing on tablets together at a long workshop table.

Tech for Tots

Kids and their grown-ups learn side by side. Make something, build healthy habits, and set up the parental controls already built into your devices.

For libraries, preschools, schools, and family programs. Ages 3 to 8.

45 to 60 minutes, or a 4-week series

A woman wearing a hearing aid smiles at her phone while a man in a wheelchair uses a tablet with a facilitator.

Built-In Access

Every phone, tablet, and computer ships with powerful accessibility tools: captions, voice control, screen readers, magnification, hearing aid pairing. Most people never find them. We turn them on together.

For schools, colleges, nonprofits, workplaces, and families.

60 to 90 minutes, or custom for your team

Every workshop is hands-on. People bring their own devices and leave with them set up the way they need.

How I teach

Show it, then try it together.

Nobody watches a slideshow. Everyone has a device in hand.

One thing at a time.

We practice each skill until it sticks, then move on.

Never talk down.

Everyone in the room is capable. Some people just haven't been shown yet.

Leave with something.

Large-print guides, setup cards, and a device that works better than when you walked in.

Portrait of Anthony Arlene.

Hi, I'm Anthony.

My best skill isn't technical. It's sitting next to someone who's sure they can't do this, and watching them realize they can.

I've spent years building with technology: composing and engineering music, designing systems, building tools that talk back. Along the way I kept noticing the same thing. The tools are getting more powerful, and a lot of people are getting left out. Not because they can't learn, but because nobody slowed down to show them.

So that's what I do now. I teach technology the way I wish it had been taught to everyone: patiently, hands-on, and without making anyone feel small.

Based in Oregon. In-person workshops across the Willamette Valley, virtual sessions anywhere.
